In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
1. Qaf. By the Glorious Qur’an.
2. But they are surprised that a warner has come to them from among themselves. So the disbelievers say, “This is something strange.”
3. “When we are dead and have become dust, will we really be brought back to life? That is a return far from possible!”
4. We know exactly what the earth takes away from them, and with Us is a record that preserves everything.
5. But they deny the truth when it comes to them, so they are in a confused state.
6. Have they not looked at the sky above them — how We built it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it?
7. And the earth — We spread it out, placed firm mountains upon it, and caused every kind of beautiful plant to grow in it,
8. as a clear sign and a reminder for every servant who turns back to Allah.
9. And We send down blessed rain from the sky, and bring forth gardens and grain for harvest,
10. and tall date-palms with clusters of fruit one above another,
11. as provision for the servants, and We give life by it to a dead land. Likewise will be the coming out (from the graves).
12. Before them, the people of Noah denied, and so did the People of the Well, and Thamud,
13. and ‘Ad, and Pharaoh, and the brothers of Lot,
14. and the People of the Forest, and the people of Tubba‘. All of them denied the messengers, so My warning proved true.
15. Were We then unable to create them the first time? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation.
16. We created man, and We know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than his jugular vein.
17. When the two recording angels record — one sitting on the right and one on the left —
18. not a single word does he utter without having a watcher ready to record it.
19. And the stupor of death will come with the truth — “This is what you were trying to avoid.”
20. And the Trumpet will be blown — that is the Day of the Warning.
21. And every soul will come forth, with it a driver (angel) and a witness (angel).
22. (It will be said,) “You were heedless of this, so We have removed your cover from you, and your sight today is sharp.”
23. And his companion (angel) will say, “Here is what is with me, ready.”
24. (Allah will say,) “Throw into Hell every stubborn disbeliever,
25. Everyone who hindered others from good, transgressed, and caused doubt,
26. who set up another god besides Allah — so throw him into the severe punishment.”
27. His (devil) companion will say, “Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was himself far astray.”
28. (Allah will say,) “Do not argue before Me. I had already sent you the warning.
29. My Word cannot be changed, and I am not unjust to the servants.”
30. On the Day We will say to Hell, “Are you full?” And it will say, “Are there any more?”
31. And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far away.
32. “This is what you were promised — for everyone who turned to Allah and kept to His limits,
33. who feared the Most Compassionate without seeing Him, and came with a heart returning to Him.
34. Enter it in peace — this is the Day of Eternity.”
35. They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us there is even more.
36. And how many generations We destroyed before them, who were stronger than them in power, and who explored throughout the lands — is there any place of escape?
37. Surely in this is a reminder for whoever has a heart, or listens while being fully attentive.
38. And We created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days, and no fatigue touched Us.
39. So be patient with what they say, and glorify the praise of your Lord before sunrise and before sunset.
40. And glorify Him during part of the night, and after the prostrations.
41. And listen for the Day when the caller will call out from a near place,
42. the Day they will hear the blast in truth — that is the Day of Coming Out (from the graves).
43. Indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and to Us is the final return.
44. On the Day the earth will split open from them as they come out quickly — that gathering is easy for Us.
45. We know best what they say, and you (O Prophet) are not sent to compel them. So remind with the Qur’an those who fear My warning. 0 0 0
