Mother Teresa, also known as Saint Teresa of Calcutta, was a truly remarkable woman who dedicated her life to helping the poor and needy. She is a source of inspiration for people all around the world, including children. Let’s learn about her life in simple language.

Birth and Parentage:

Mother Teresa was born on August 26, 1910, in Skopje, which is now part of North Macedonia. Her real name was Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu. Her parents were Nikolle and Drana Bojaxhiu. She came from a loving and caring family.

Education:

When she was young, Mother Teresa attended a school in Skopje and later a religious school in Ireland. She felt a strong calling from God and decided to become a nun at the age of 18.

Joining the Missionary:

In 1928, she joined the Sisters of Loreto, a religious order in Ireland. She learned to speak English and became a teacher. However, she felt another calling from God, a calling to serve the poorest of the poor in India.

Coming to India:
